Against the Overlord - A TTJRPG

This is a minimalist game inspired by both classic and modern JRPGs like Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Octopath Traveler, Sea of Stars, and many others.

While the excellent Fabula Ultima is a standout, I’ve always felt that the D00 system aligns more naturally with JRPGs—their attributes and level ranges from 1 to 99, their diverse materials, and monsters that can be silly, eerie, or wildly imaginative. My goal was to draw from these many elements, drinking deeply from sources like Fabula Ultima, Retrophaze, and a host of other wonderful games that explored and translated the fantastic world of JRPGs into the realm of TTRPGs long before I did.
